Landscape Gardening at Mornington Peninsula

The beautiful landscape garden design mornington peninsula in the Victorian region of Victoria is a creation of some of the greatest landscape artists of the Victorian era. These landscape designers included such famous landscape artists as James Hardiman, Henry David Thoreau, and Sir Walter Rumbold. The area was also the home to the first Victoria Gaslight Engine and this gave the land ample opportunity for the masters of landscape gardening to be utilising their skills to create a masterpiece. The plants used in the garden were originally a result of the need to feed the pigs and chickens and so the landscape garden at the time was designed with a purpose. As time progressed, the emphasis was on integrating the natural beauty found on the land with the ability to use the landscape to the advantage of the builders. As more tourists started to visit the area many of the early Victorian buildings that are there were built with the help of local workers from the peninsula. This included the Peterhouse, which is still standing after all these years.

One of the most popular features of the landscape garden at the moment is the addition of a pond and a fountain. Water has always been an important feature for any garden and is particularly suited to the Mornington Peninsula as it flows in and out of the falls that are located in the area. This is a feature that will appeal to both young and old alike and many people will be able to look back over the years that they have had their own water feature at their home and smile at the thought of having done something so clever and so beautiful at a time when they were likely to be rather bored! The best thing about this type of garden is that you can be guaranteed that the design team involved will have put lots of effort into making sure that this garden has all of the components that go to make a beautiful garden and to bring it to fruition.
