Located on Arthur Ashe Boulevard, The Diamond is the home of the Richmond Flying Squirrels (Triple-A Minor League Baseball), as well as the VCU Rams from Virginia Commonwealth University. The Diamond has a total seating capacity of 12,134 people, though that number is typically reduced to around 9,560 for Flying Squirrels games. When the Rams are not in town, The Diamonds On Richmond is used by fans for VCU Basketball games.

This is a large stadium that was built very quickly and it shows. Metal benches make up most of the upper and lower decks. Thankfully, they do have arm rests, but this doesn’t make sitting down for an entire game any more comfortable. There is a good selection of food vendors in The Diamond and there are also some bars that have been open during the season.
The largest weekly vendor market in the city is at The Diamond every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The market is family-friendly and pets are welcome, too. You can see the full lineup of participating vendors, food trucks, and live music on their website, here.
Siblings Michael and Michelle Wobcke founded their by appointment only jewelry company eight years ago because of a self-confessed obsession with diamonds. Their goal was to create a store that was completely transparent, only sold conflict-free ethically-sourced diamonds, and made the majority of their jewellery in New Zealand. The result is a very nice store that has a premium feel to it, but still focuses on the old fashioned values of customer service and quality.
