A Stroke Orthotic is a specially designed medical device that has been designed with the rehabilitation of stroke victims in mind. Strokes are very common and in many cases; there are no signs of them regressing. This means that the victim may have difficulty or even a severe limitation when it comes to their movement which makes it extremely difficult for them to live their life to the full. The use of an orthotic for this condition is essential as it enables the victim to regain the use of their limbs.

 

Orthotics are great at helping people who have suffered a stroke by allowing them to regain some or all of their ability to move and function on their own. There are different types of orthoses and one of the most common is the SoftPigmentation Orthotic. This particular device is designed to cover up the areas where there is a stroke victim’s loss of tissue and replaces it with Pigment, which is also known as a prosthetic skin.

 

Another one of the popular devices is the VASER stroke recovery appliance which is used for improving mobility of a stroke survivor. They are generally made of a flexible silicone material. The main purpose of the device is to extend the range of movement of the arm so that the stroke survivor can pick up objects, move about with greater ease and perform daily tasks. They will also help a person to achieve a higher level of dexterity. They are very comfortable to wear and are normally quite lightweight.…
